Failed window seals?  Foggy windows?

Customers Are

Raving About

Defogging!

"I had three quotes from window replacement companies and they all said it would cost $1,400 to $1,500 to replace my foggy window. Window Defoggers repaired my window for less than a third the cost. And the window looks like new! What a wonderful process! Thank you!"

Announcing a NEW Service!

We are proud and excited to announce Windoworks Etc is the first authorized dealer in Washington to offer an effective, low-cost solution to foggy window condensation problems! Until now, the standard reply to a foggy window was, “sorry, the seals have failed, get a new window.” But not anymore!

The Problem:

All windows eventually fail; the best day a window ever had was the day it was made. The main cause of window failure, besides poor caulking, is “solar pumping.” When sunshine hits a window, the air inside heats up (think of your car on a hot day!) and expands out through the window’s semi-permeable seal. In the evening the window cools and contracts, drawing air—and humidity—in with it.

All windows eventually fail. The best day a window

ever had was the day it was made.

Window manufactures expect this. Built into every window frame is silica desiccant, designed to capture that moisture. But after months and years of solar pumping, the desiccant becomes saturated. Unable to escape, moisture begins to accumulate and soon is visible as condensation or fog inside your thermal pane windows. Learn more about why windows fail.

Our Solution:

First, two tiny holes are drilled in opposite corners of a failed window. Next, a proprietary solution is sprayed in the window to clean and dry the inside of the window. And last, a unique Micro-Valve is applied over each hole. These one-way valves allow the remaining moisture to evaporate and act to neutralize the solar pumping which caused the window to fail in the first place. The window will never again have condensation. Learn more about how our process works.

The Limitations:

Not all windows can be restored. Over time the moisture inside a window, along with the deteriorating silica in the spacer bar, begins to mineralize on the glass surface, causing permanent hazing, etching and “river bedding.” You get the best results by repairing the window as soon as it becomes apparent the “seal has failed.” Tempered glass, skylights and certain less common windows are also not repairable unfortunately.

Save 30—70% over the cost of glass replacement!

Restore vs. Replace:

  • Save 30—70% over the cost of window replacement.

  • Half an hour repair time vs. weeks for a new window.

  • No glass removal, trim repair or repainting required.

  • No mismatched tints between old and new glass.

  • Permanent repair vs. another failed window in 5-15 years.

  • Lower energy costs by restoring the window’s original R value.

  • No hassle repair vs. big hassle replacement.

  • Ecologically sound recycling of the window vs. disposing of the failed window at the dump.
